Ildikó Török

I studied Sociology and Minority Policy at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), followed by a Master's degree in Public Policy at Central European University (CEU). Alongside my academic journey—and ever since—I have navigated my path as a Roma woman, a mother, and a professional, proudly embracing my dual identity. For more than a decade, I have worked on issues affecting Roma communities across both the public and civil society sectors, in Hungary and internationally. Most recently, I led the Roma Programme at the Tom Lantos Institute for six years.

It is both an honour and a great responsibility to lead an organisation that was founded on the bold vision of Roma intellectuals and that, in 2026, will celebrate 30 years of supporting Roma students on their journey towards education, self-confidence, and a strong sense of identity.

I believe that meaningful social change begins from within—when Roma students recognise that their own stories have value, that their identity is a source of strength, and that their community is a driving force for their future.

In my view, lasting social change requires knowledge, identity, and community. This is exactly what Romaversitas offers young Roma people. We strive to create an environment where the "Romver identity" is more than just a phrase—it is a genuine sense of belonging, where Romaversitas becomes a second home and a second family: a place from which students can confidently set out into the world and to which they will always be welcome to return.

My goal is clear: to build a safe, courageous, and sustainable Romaversitas where the circumstances of one's birth never determine the opportunities of one's future.

Adrienn Barbara Bogdán

Project Manager

I am Adrienn Bogdán, a sociologist, serving as the manager of the 'Mara' program and the coordinator of the "Most mi írjuk" (Now We Write It) Roma Future Academy within the Romaversitas team. I first joined the organization in May 2025, when I managed the coordination of the Egalipe network in a 10-hour part-time position for a few months. This initial period truly laid the foundation for my commitment to the organization.

The greatest driving force in my work is Roma youth. I consider the empowerment of Roma women, as well as the topic of sexual and reproductive rights, to be of paramount importance—issues I wish to champion not only from a sociological perspective but also as a doula. Every single day, I work to build a supportive and inspiring community through our programs, where we can empower young people to shape their own narratives.

Mária Jakab

Financial Officer and Education Programme Coordinator

Since 2002 I have been working for NGOs, mainly in the fields of human rights and environmental protection (Otherness Foundation National and Ethnic Minority Rights Office, Civil Media Nonprofit Ltd., EMMA Association, Messzelátó Association). I switched from a career in health care to finance in the late 1990s. I studied financial and accounting administration, tender writing and resource management. I have been the financial coordinator and project assistant at the Romaversitas Foundation since 2018. It is a pleasure to be part of society-shaping activities that impact the lives of all of us as a NGO background worker.

Klaudia Ramóna Juhász

Office Manager, Finance and Communications Assistant

I have over ten years of professional experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors, and since October 2025, I have been serving as Office Manager and Finance Coordinator at the Romaversitas Foundation. As a former Romaversitas scholar with a background in International Relations, I bring both professional expertise and a personal understanding of the Foundation's mission and the community it serves.

Throughout my career, I have worked in the corporate sector at Control Labor Ltd. and in the nonprofit field, including at the Roma Press Center, where I gained extensive experience in office management, financial administration, procurement, project coordination, and organizational support.

I believe that well-organized operations are essential to creating meaningful impact. I approach my work with a structured mindset, a proactive attitude, and a strong commitment to transparency. By ensuring that the Foundation's day-to-day operations run smoothly, I strive to create the conditions that enable our colleagues and students to focus on learning, growth, and making their voices heard.

Ildikó Paskó

I graduated in Social Work and Sociology and hold qualifications as a trainer as well as a business and management coach. Previously, I worked for the weekly journal Beszélő and for the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (Társaság a Szabadságjogokért). As a freelancer, I have also participated in several research projects and initiatives related to equal opportunities and education.

I joined the Romaversitas Foundation in 2006 and currently work as the Professional Director of the Foundation’s educational programme. My work focuses on strengthening the educational and labour market opportunities of Roma young people, as well as supporting them in becoming conscious, self-confident individuals with a strong sense of identity and active citizenship.

I believe that through our professional expertise and personalised attention, we create a supportive environment that makes a meaningful contribution to the development and empowerment of our students.
